Error Accessing Internal Components

Hello,

I initially purchased Activesky 2004 several years ago and upgraded several times to 6.5. I recently installed Windows 7 and reinstalled FS9 from scratch. At first, AS 6.5 worked fine. However, a few days ago (I didn't not install or modify anything) I started getting the following error screen when loading AS:

"Error Accessing Internal Components (Unexempt step 4 - Please run Repair from setup.exe"

I've re-installed several times but that does change anything. I've tried everything I can think of. Everything is also running under administrator privileges. For the life of me I can't figure out why this cropped up out of the blue. I've noticed that I can't even load weather through FS9's internal real-weather system.

I have a hunch it has something to do with FSUIPC, however since I didn't modify it to cause this problem, I'm at a loss. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi,

What anti-virus are you now using?

Is FS installed outside of the Program Files folder in Win 7?

Thanks,

There is no anti-virus or

There is no anti-virus or firewall running. It is installed on the main drive (I have another hard drive, but to be safe I installed FS9 on the main drive with Windows 7).

I completely uninstalled and reinstalled FS9 and put AS back on a vanillia FS installation in order to see if the problem was being caused by another add-on. However, to my surprise I got the same error on the vanilla FS installation (I do have 9.1). I can now load weather through FS9 default, but AS is way better and I'm hoping to get this fixed.

Any help is much appreciated!

Hi, Yes, that is correct. I

Hi,

Yes, that is correct. I don't know as I don't use Vista or Win 7, but I am sure there are plenty of sites using Google that would point you in the right direction.

Thanks,
