No ASE SimConnect SP1 Only

I can not find the ASE SimConnect SP1 Only in the directory for ASE. I have tried to use the /FORCESP1 but that does not work. This is a real problem, because without this access I can NOT run ASE or even ASA. Help appreciated!

No ASE Simconnect SP1 Only

I just downloaded the complete ASE program. There does not appear to be a simconnect SP1 only. When opening the program, I am directed to uninstall FSX sp1
and reinstall by downloading SP1 from MS and reinstalling, I am reluctant to screw around with my FSX install setup because of many add-ons, Will there be a patch of some sort forthcoming?

ASE for SP1 Only

I found a way to get this to work. I run ASE over a LAN via simconnect. However, I beleive this will work either way. Open the properties for your ASE lauch Icon, then go to the "ShortCut" tab across the top and cut and paste this path in the "Target" box . .

"C:\Program Files\HiFi\ASE\ASE_Exec.exe" /FORCESP1

Hope it works for you, works just fine for me.

No ASE Sim Connect SP1 Only

Hi Jim.
Thanks for the patch but it is not working for me. I installed the FSX Gold Edition which,of course includes Sp1, SP2 and Acceleration. I still get the Sp1, Sp2 warning when I open the program with the patch. I just spent about four days installing multiple add-ons and I do not want to go thru a whole new uninstall, install process. Any ideas?
Thanks for any help you can give me.

No ASE SinConnect Sp1 Only

Hi Jim,

I should have mentioned in above post that my OS is
WindowsXP Professional 64bit. Could the 64bit be a problem for ASE?.

Hi, No, 64 bit should not be

Hi,

No, 64 bit should not be a problem. What is the error message you are getting? Also, please attach your ASE_Log..txt file.

Thanks,

No ASE SimConnect SP1 only

Jim,
I believe ASE wants the earlier SP1 downloaded from Microsoft rather than the SP1 loaded with Acceleration.
I recall having the same problem with Actve Sky X .
I uninstalled FSX, and reinstalled using a downloaded SP1 from MS.
I note that the problem is covered in the documention trouble shooting area and I'll try that route. Right now I am in the middle of reinstalling FSX with all the popular addons and am reluctant to risk screwing things up and having to start reinstalling from scratch. I want to take a break from the tedium of the new computer breakin process and doing a little flying.
Congratulations on another fine product, I have them all.
