Weather simulation improvements over ASA
Hi there
I found my activation key finally thanks. I'm posting about weather depiction in ASE. I''m getting the same issues as with ASA on default settings and I'm not sure why. Is it something inherent in FSX? I am logged onto the server and connect by default to FSX as indicated in the user interface.
Flying at 20GMT 1 March 2010 off the server historical data.
I'm at 10000 feet above Tucson International KTUS.
Here is the issue:
ATIS reports clear with 20NM visibility clear below 20000
I have a screen shot showing sporadic small cumulo at ground level at Tucson at 1.30pm local which contradicts the report. When I fly below 10,000 feet there is a sudden wind shift from 240 at 15 to 108 at 12 which violently pitches the Discus simulation significantly.
This behaviour is identical to ASA. I have the red interface on ASE. Not sure what else to do. The good news is that I think there is more fidelity in the cockpit airspeed indicator but I'm not 100% sure what I am seeing is different.
Thanks
Cheers
Hi, Is DWC On in ASE? IS
Hi,
Is DWC On in ASE?
IS FSUIPC 4 installed in your FSX? If yes, is that set to default settings and weather settings off?
Thanks,

Ground level cumulo
Hi Jim
Thanks for trying to help. DWC is off which I think is the default. I am connecting to FSX in the default way so if FSUIP is the default then yes I am using it, otherwise no I am not.
Your testers could try to replicate the ground cumulo phenomenon by flying at 20GMT 1st March 2010, taking off at Palm Valley and flying over Tucson International at 10,000 feet. There you should see that on a clear day in the early afternoon, Tucson has cumulo on the ground despite an all clear ATIS.
Thanks
