Using ASA Upgrade from AS6.5--Is it Possible to Upgrade to ASE?

I am using ASA which I bought as an upgrade to AS6.5. I tried to upgrade to ASE but I get the following error:
ERROR 701 - ASA Installation Path Not Found-ASA (SP1 or later) Must be installed to run the upgrade!
ASA is installed and in the lower left corner of the screen it show Build 433. Perhaps it is not possible to upgrade to ASE without a full license for ASA?

The full ASE installer worked fine. The code recognized my ASV6.5 to ASA upgrade license key and activated it successfully. I think I'm in business. Thanks for your help.
