Some questions before buying

Hello,

Actually using IVAO weather, I want to switch to active sky evolution. But I first have some questions :

-Do I need to install the graphics or can I just use it for the weather ? I'm actually using HDE for clouds.

-I heard some comments about the as6.5 that metar's where more than an hour old, I hope this is not the case in ASE because I need to stay with the latest updates for online flying. Do you users get the good metar's ?

-Is it possible to lock the weather on departure and arrival to avoid weather change on final or after take off ?

-Does the wind changes smootly because with IVAO he changes from up to 180° in some seconds, this can cause overspeed or stall, not so funny. How about ASE ?

-Is it possible to have the wind charts to see the winds at high altitude ?

Hi,

Thanks for your interest!

I'll address the features questions you have asked.

1. ASE contains no textures/graphics so you use HDE or any other textures you wish.

2. METAR data is always an hour old no matter where it is from. Even NOAA weather data near the top of each hour is about an hour old. With ASE when the data changes from our sources the data cahnges on our servers so I would say this is a marked improvement over ASv6.5

3. Arrival weather can be locked.

4. Our Map and Report screen can show this. It not wind charts, but the wind data.

Thanks for answer, just one more question :

Can I disable the cloud icing in FSUIPC like with any other weather add-on ? I need to disable it because the pitot heat is not send to FS in the external software for home cockpit. So I can have speed losts with icing.

Purchased ASE yesterday and I

Purchased ASE yesterday and I got an error when installing saying "could not register component, error 2908" with a lot of numbers. After 2 hours searching I just clicked on "ignore" of each error and now ASE is working perfectly ! I even get newer metars than IVAO :-D

Thanks for the great job ! I would say to everyone : Don't hesitate, even if it's a bit expensive, it's a really nice tool !
