ASA Fails to start up for FS9

I am running Windows XP Pro and when I goto start up ASA I get the following messages. (Flight Simulator 2004 Location Not found)! We were unable to locate required folders/files. Please browse to your Flight Simulator 2004 Location in the next screen. If you are running in a networked configuration, select the proper share. After I click OK I select the fs9 folder and click ok. Then it pops up a window that reads (Database write/corruption problem) Your station database files could not be updated. Please make sure sharing is properly setup if using a networked configuration. Proper ASA operation is not possible. Please restart ASA to attempt database reset. I click OK and ASA goes away. I am not running a networked ASA, it is installed with my flight simuators. I have disabled my virus protection and my firewall. ASA will load up for FSX just fine, but not FS9. My ASA build is 433 and here is the ASA_log file.

Hi, It could be that your

Hi,

It could be that your registry entry for FS9 is wrong. Use this utility to re-set it:

http://www.flight1software.com/files/FS_Registry_Repair.exe

Then let's see what ASA tells you.

Thanks,

Jim - HiFi Software Sales and Support

Ok

Ok I'll do that and get back to you. Thanks

Chris

It's fixed!!!

I do thank you, it is now working after the reg fix. I also noticed that my wxmapping.bin was a hidden file, so I un-checked the box so that it would show. Might be why it couldn't find the wxmapping.bin file in the weather folder. But again thanks for the fix, it's working great.

Chris
