how do i read in ASE where there are areas of turbulence and at what altitude, intensity, etc.? thanks!

Hi,
ASE doesn't automatically report that data, but there are 2 places to look. One is on the Met/Reps screen where realtime Reports are given along with ASE pilot reports. Also on the Map screen if you have the Met/Reps option On.

Ok, so if i understand you
Ok, so if i understand you correctly, i can look at the met/reps screen, but that might only give me reports from other pilots in the world. or i can go to the map, and click the box. in the map screen, how will i know about the turbulence once i click the box? will a report just show up?

Only if there has been an Airmet or Sigmet issued for the area. Or ASE pilots have reported turbulence.
On the Map screen the Airmets/Sigmets will also show, hover your mouse over the A/S and a popup report will appear.
