No connection between ASE and FSX
Hi,
I have install ASE but cant make it work and dont know whats the problem so I will tell you what I have done.
I have edit both computers firewall, as fare as I know.
Main Computer = Server
Windows 7 (64X)
AVG Antivirus
MS SDK - DVD1 + SP1a + SP2, after every installation I have run SimConnect.msi on my Client computer. I read a note that I should do that because they file have differance size and time.
Chear folder FSX and MS Fligth Simulator with read &r wrights for homegroup and copy simconnect.ini and *. xml to proper folder
Second Computer = Client
Windows XP
AVG Antivisus
Edit Windows firewall and add WideFS + simconnect ports (8002,6810) I do not know if I need to use WideFS.
and copy simconnect.cfg to User/document main folder
When I run ASE everything seams to work, but no connection to server ?
The WideFS work just find and connect to FSX
Internet connection = Router + Switch
I have D-Link DI-524, 802.11g/2.4 GHZ Wireless Router
Edit Virual Server Simconnect - Port 6810
Edit Firewall and allowed IP 192.168.0.1 to 192.168.0.199 for LAN, both TCP and UDP
I'm new at Windows 7 so maybe I have forget to set anything the correct way.
I hope that someone cane help me out here.

Hi,
Don't use a Home Group in Win 7 for networking.
The default Workgroup name is different than XP/Vista so you'll need to change that in Win 7.
Once you do that and properly set up the files that are necessary, then things should work. I am using Win 7 and XP so I know things can work out!
Thanks,
