ASA or ASX?
Submitted by Avian on Sun, 07/12/2009 - 04:54
As a previous user of AS6.5 with FS9 I have not as yet upgraded to AS|X, now ASA has become available and seems to offer the one thing I really would like, the end of the dreaful haze line on elevated terrain.
But is ASA a standalone product? Or does it also require ASX as well?
Also as an AS6.5 customer I see that a discount is available, but AS6.5 needs to be installed, but it isn't compatible with FSX (so it isn't installed on my machine) do I need to instal it for the ASA discount version to install, will that be a problem?
Does ASX have the improved visibility haze?
Which would you go for, ASA or ASX?
Thank you for your replies and assistance.
Hi, Thanks for writing and
Hi,
Thanks for writing and your interest!
1. Yes, ASA is a standalone product.
2. Yes ASv6.5 would need to be installed on your computer. No problems doing that even with FSX installed.
3. Both ASX and ASA contain no environmental textures for the visibility haze. In both you can limit your maximum visibility.
4. ASA, so you can get your discount.
