Simconnect version

Hello
Just upgraded from 6.5 to ASA and no success so far.
Where do I "find" the latest Simconnect.dll?
I believe I need ....61259 and I don't have Delux version of FSX including SDK.
ASA runs of course on a dedicated PC and FSX with SP2 on the main PC.
I suspect I have to run ASA on the FSX PC.
Any advice?

Hi, You get the SimConnect
Hi,
You get the SimConnect files from the FSX SDKs. You need SKD 1 from the FSX DVD, 1A and 2 from Microsoft.
No you can run ASA on a networked computer. We supply a whole chapter in the ASA manual for installing and setting things up to do this.
You cannot just copy over a .dll, so please don't try that!

Thanks JimBut then I need to
Thanks Jim
But then I need to go out and buy FSX Delux version and
do a full install which I don't like too much.
It's strange that the Simconnect part is "hidden" like that - typical MS.
Would it be possible to bundle the SimConnect.msi with ASA or is that not an option?
Thanks anyway.
Per-Erik.
Hi, Why whould you need
Hi,
Why whould you need Deluxe? Pretty sure the SDK is on DVD 1.
It's not hidden, but the .msi file installs things properly.
No, we can't distribute MS files.

Hello Jim The SDK is only
Hello Jim
The SDK is only available on the Delux edition as far as I know - not on the Standard release.
I ended up installing FSX on the second PC as well and added the SP1A and SP2 updates.
In this way I got the latest SimConnect installed.
So know I'm happy and running ASA on the Network.
