ASX or ASA for FSX?

Hello.. I'm about ready to buy some payware aircraft but first need to resolve the EMPTY space beyond the CDD (cloud draw distance) and infinity. IOW, the clouds STOP and then there is thin air on out. I understand that ASX and ASA will solve this problem.
But the question is.. how much resources do ASX and ASA use? or take away from the CPU which is working hard just to hold 24 fps. I have a dual 3.2GHz Xeon workstation and could assign AS to the 2nd CPU. Does ASA require more CPU than ASX? Also what is the hit of framerate?

Hi, Thanks for your
Hi,
Thanks for your interest.
Nothing can draw clouds farther than the cloud draw distance in FS. That is a limitation of the FS graphics engine.
ASA uses a bit more resources than ASX, mostly in memory footprint.
More complex weather can mean a small hit on FPS. Both have options to help minimize the hit.
