FSX + AS6.5 and Wind Transition

Hi,
Just a quick question about the old and much discussed instantaneous/momentary wind shift issue when transitioning between stations. I know this is solved in FS9 when used in combination with FSUIPC, but I'm now using FSX. I'm using FSUIPC wind smoothing, which is doing fine, except for those brief moments just before a new station update...At which point I get smacked out of the sky. I've searched all over the various support forums, and have basically concluded that I'm out of luck, but I just wanted to see if there is anything new I can try. I've pretty much covered all of the obvious settings on the option screen.
Thanks

Hi,

What are your wind smoothing options in FSUIPC set at?

Hi,
This is the massive wind shift between weather station updates that has literally been reported hundreds of times. It was reported to have been solved when using build 522 and fs9. I'm using FSX and asking what the workaround is, if there is one...or are you saying that you have no idea what problem I'm referring to?
It doesn't matter what my wind-smoothing options are set at in FSUIPC (version 4.57), I've tried everything I can think of. If this is a limitation of 6.5 with fsx just tell me. Then I'll have to go back to bugging you in that other thread about ASA historical weather at KDEN:)
(which I probably will anyway since we finally have been able to reproduce the same results....)
Thanks

Hi,

All I asked for is your suppression settings in FSUIPC.

ASv6.5 was only patched to be able to work with FSX, not solve the FSX wind shift issue. If you are getting uncontrollable shifts then the suppression needs to come through FSUIPC.

Also, please make sure you are using B552.
