ASA Instability on Windows 7 64 bit

I am having problems with ASA on my Windows 7 64Bit machine.
ASA runs and downloads the current weather but the map shows no weather and after a minute or so ASA fails and closes.
I can get it to work and be stable by unselecting "Automatic Downloads" but to get the current weather I then have to do a "Historical Download" and enter the current date and time.
I have tried running it as Administrator, using the various windows compatibility options and completely re-installing windows/FSX/ASA and it still does it.

I have also tried the two ASA updates.

Any help to get this working properly will be appreciated.

Thanks

Win7_64 no work

It has ceased to be started ASA.
Stopped working

Hi, KERNELBASE.dll is part of

Hi,

KERNELBASE.dll is part of Windows 7 and a search shows that it is causing problems with other programs as well.

Do you have FSX and ASA installed outside of the Program Files folder?

Hi, What is the error message

Hi,

What is the error message when ASA fails and closes?

Please post your ASA_Log.txt file as that might provide some clues.

Make sure you have used the video drivers from your card manufacture and not the Microsoft video drivers.

Thanks,

Thanks Jim, See attached

Hi, Did the crash occur when

Hi,

Did the crash occur when you generated that log for me?

If you run just ASA does it crash?

It had loaded the current

It had loaded the current weather and the menu buttons had appeared. About 30 secs later it crashed. I then copied the log and screen shot of the crash message.

It is totally stable and displays the map if I turn off downloads. I can even get the current weather no problem using the historical download button. But if downloads is enabled then I don't get any weather shown on the map and it is very unstable.
Have tried re-installing Win7 64bit/ASA and tried it with XP64 and the problem occurs in each case.

By unticking downloads it is still usable and is a great program but would be nice to have auto downloads working.

Thanks

I've found the problem

Ok, I've found the problem. My system date was set to tomorrows date forcing it to always try and download weather which of course does not exist.

It's something that I should have noticed but would be worth catching this error in the next build to prevent it crashing ASA.

Thanks for your help.

Cheers
