ASA not correct but AS 6.5 is in both FS9 & FSX

Did a comparison tonight at Springbank Alberta (CYBW) where it was definately snowing. AS 6.5 (522) works fine in both FS9 & FSX -- snowing.
ASA does not have snow in either FS9 or FSX even though the report shows the right conditions in the ASA information.
Obviosly something wrong but have not been able to get it right trying all the suggestions I've read here.
Any help would be much appreciated. Will have to stay with AS 6.5 if no fix found.

Set the download interval to 30 minutes and watched it go through two downloads. Entire download/synthesis takes about 5 minutes. Left ASA running all night and this morning it's conditions almost match the actual weather station info for Calgary.
Started FSX and created a flight to start parked at Calgary (CYYC). FSUIPC weather off. User defined selected in weather setting.
Conditions in FSX not at all what ASA showing.
Left everything alone for 2 hours. ASA continued to update every 30 minutes and showed some changes. Nothing changed in FSX and conditions nowhere near what ASA is showing.
Obviously ASA isn't/can't talk to FSX. Or FS9 either, as a later test proved.
Have run out of patience.
Going to leave ASA and use AS 6.5 (522).

Did you wait up to 5 minutes for ASA to process and load the data into FS and then for FS to process the data. This does take a bit longer than with ASv6.5.
