slow updates / no accurate

I have been using active sky and xgrpahics for a while now but am wondering If I have done everything correct.
The first issue I have is that my arrival station weather will sometimes not load until I have touched down! Which is a big upset when the METAR is 1/2mile vis and hard core IFR :P
Secondly, I think this is where xgraphics plays a role, but it seems my ceilings in FS are not what the metars say. ex, metar will say broken at 1,500 ft, but I can see the ground right from the top of me decent.

Yep. clear on the clouds. Am a commercial pilot after all! I just phrased my first post wrong.
Just flew a flight in CYYT where metar on active sky was reporting VV003, and 3/4mile vis. Was able to see the ground quite some time before that.

Which AS program? Also remember that if you are flying above the visibility layer you will not see the low visibility until you are below a certain altitude in FS.
Broken clouds will always show the ground. That is not a solid cloud layer.
