Lapse Rate
Hey,
Have you guys ever heard of Lapse Rate? Flying over FTX in Australia at FL250 and using real-world WX through ASA and it was working and updating, and I had processed a Flight Plan through ASA. The temperature was +22C. There is no way in hell the temperature was +22c in the real world.
Anyways if ASA is making up stations that don't exist to give me realistic WX between areas that habe actual stations and areas that don't, will it give me a realistic Lapse Rate?
Normally I would not care about this, but my fuel burn was so high and I only use fuel required to dest + 45 min reserve + 10% contingency + 10 min taxi fuel. I kept checking my FMS and it was telling me I was going to eat half of my reserve on landing (which is illegal), and I did.
Anyways, possibly I am doing something wrong? I don't know, maybe its a known problem? Anyways thanks for your time.
